Project Description

In fall of 2018, Blythe Elementary will become the new home school for Winding Springs students living on and north of Victoria Avenue. These students will attend J.M. Alexander Middle instead of Ranson Middle. The home high school assignment for these students will not change -- students will continue to attend North Mecklenburg High.

  • Students who will be in Kindergarten through 4th grade will be assigned to Blythe Elementary. Assignments for 5th graders will not change.
  • Students who will enter 6th grade in 2018 will be assigned to J.M. Alexander Middle instead of Ranson Middle. Assignments for 7th and 8th graders will not change.
  • The high school assignment for these students will not change. They will continue to attend North Mecklenburg High.

Our goal is to be as transparent as possible.  If you have a question or comment, please let us know and we will do our best to address it.   You must REGISTER for the site in order to post a question -- this helps us to better understand the context of the questions and comments.

    You can find your child's 2018-19 school assignment by:

    1. Your school registrar or counselor can look up this information for you.  Front office staff may also have this information.

    2. You can call the Student Placement Office at (980) 343-5335

    3. You can review the CMS boundary map for your school.
